The Minnesota Conservation Federation is excited to start of the 2019 Conservation Leadership Corps program! Ten college students with an interested in conservation and natural resources will have the opportunity to gain experiential knowledge through time spend in the field and in the classroom with conservation professionals.

The students gathered for our first program in Byron MN. A presentation was given on adaptive leadership and members of Bluffland Whitetails and the Izaak Walton League spoke. Local Conservation Officer Clint Fitzgerald spoke about the role of the CO in conservation.

The students participated in a successful morning goose hunt. The geese were dressed in the field and were taken home by students to prepare.
